If you are going RV camping with your family, then you want to make sure everyone has a great time. While you may envision the family entertaining themselves singing and roasting marshmallows around the campfire, the truth is this form of entertainment will only be good for so long. If you have nixed the kids bringing their electronics then you want to prepare yourself for bored kids and make sure you bring items that will help them entertain themselves. This article will help you to know what to bring for your kids.
Board games can be a great way to have fun together when you are RV camping. You should bring a good selection so there will be something your kids want to play. Start with a few card games and board games that don't require a lot of players. In fact, board games that can be played with just 2 people will increase the chances that those games will be enjoyed more since it can be hard to get everyone to agree on a game at the same time.
Acrylic paint, small canvasses and paint brushes
If you bring painting supplies then your kids can paint the nature and animals they see around them. This can be a lot of fun and it will give them a special keepsake to help remember the trip. Acrylic paint is a good type to use when you are camping because the brushes can be easily cleaned off with water, where oil based paint require special cleaners.
Insect and bird identifying books
Most kids love to look for and identify bugs and birds. Bringing identification books with you on your RV camping trip will help them to stay entertained in an educational manner. You may find that they are content to spend hours looking for different species of bugs and birds that they can then look up and identify using the books.
Pieces of scrap material, needles and thread
You may be surprised at just how much fun your kids can have with some scrap material when you are camping. They can make throw blankets, scarves, makeshift tents, bandanas and many other creative things that they can put to good use on the trip. This is a great way for you to encourage them to really use their imagination.
Now that you have an idea of some more ways you can ensure everyone stays entertained on your camping trip, you can enjoy yourself even more. Check out parks like Longriders RV Park for vacancies.Share
